Actinae is a suborder of sea anemones, which are marine animals in the class Anthozoa. In Haeckel’s illustration, there are 14 species of Actinae.

Ernst Haeckel was a German zoologist, naturalist and marine biologist. The published artwork of Haeckel includes over 100 detailed, multicolour illustrations of animals and sea creatures.
