This magnificent, Victorian map of Bristol with mythological beast cartouche and decorated borders, appears in John Tallis’ atlas, published to coincide with the Great Exhibition of 1851.
The map was drawn and engraved by J. Rapkin with illustrations by H. Winkles – Includes views of Broad Quay, Redcliff Church, High Cross on College Green, Clifton Gate, Clifton itself, and the south side of Bristol Cathedral.
