<p style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 25px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">A city plan, or map of Venice. Containing on the bottom right corner a description of the city. “Venice is built upon Piles, and contains 2108 Streets and Lanes, 30,000 Houses, 112 Churches, and 160 Public Fountains, with a population of 112,000 people. In the Laguna, there are 70 Islands intersected by 149 Canals and connected by 306 marble Bridges”. The map was drawn by W.B. Clarke, and engraved by B.R.Davies. Published under the superintendence of the society for the diffusion of useful knowledge, 59 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, July 15, 1838.</p>
