Urbium Londini et WEST-Monasterii nec non Duburbii Soutwrk accurata Ichnographia.usque ad A.1736. A beautiful reproduction plan of London, extending from Grosvenor Square in the west to Mile En to the east, decorative title cartouche, (in Latin and German), skillfully engraved vignettes depicting St.Paul’s, St. James’s Square. The Custom House and the Royal Exchange. The City of London is highlighted in colour, as are Westminster and Southwark. Diverse, busy river traffic is well engraved upon The Thames, denoting its prime importance to the city, a fact backed up by a vignette of The Customs House. To the title’s right is a key giving the German translation of English terms used upon the plan.
