A highly decorative and finely engraved mid-19th century map of the Channel Islands (Guernsey & Jersey), containing scenes of St. Peter’s Port, Castle Cornet, a Druidical Altar near Lancresse, Mont Orgueil Castle, and Jersey itself.
The map was engraved by John Rapkin and the illustrations were drawn by Henry Winkles and engraved by G.R. Manwaring, and appeared in John Tallis & co.’s The Illustrated Atlas (London & New York: c.1851).
